Highlights from the June 2010 AAWS Board Meeting

The A.A. Web site now has an Archives Digital Exhibit area, which now highlights one exhibit. Added exhibits will be added over time.
Preparations were being completed for the 2010 International Convention in San Antonio. Final registration count was 53,000.
The Final Report of the General Service Conference will be available in August.
The Public Information Desk has mailed out the annual Anonymity Letter to media outlets in the U.S. and Canada.
Two representatives of the General Service Board attended the 34th Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous in Central America held in Guatemala City, Guatemala. One visited the 20th Anniversary Celebration of A.A. in Belarus held in the capitol city of Minsk along with members from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, and Ukraine.
A new ad hoc Committee on Copyrights will consider current and future policies related to A.A. trademarks and copyrights.
A new ad hoc Committee on E-Technology will serve as an oversight Committee involved in short and long term goals and in support of the GSO E-Technology Team in the development and delivery of electronic formats of A.A. literature and other means of electronic communication. The AAWS Board approved a committee recommendation to move ahead with a questionnaire that requests feedback from the fellowship on preferences for digital devices and e-delivery.
